Sea lions (Otarriinae) include seven species in five genera and are found in the Northern Hemisphere. Sea lions are small, generally no more than 2 m long. They are gentle and live in clusters. There are large groups of thousands of sea lions on the land, and small groups of 1 or more than 10 sea lions in the sea. Sea lions have poor vision, but good hearing and smell. Feeding on bottom-dwelling fish and cephalopods. Females only give birth to one cub that is about 100 cm long at birth and weighs about 20 kg. The sea lions reach sexual maturity at 3-5 years of age and can live for more than 20 years.
