Sea dogs (Arctocephalinae) get their name because their heads look like a dogs’ heads, and because of their hairy bodies, they are also called “fur sea lions”. Fur seals are migratory animal that returns to their birthplace each summer to breed. And they breed in a very special way. They are polygamous. There are a pair of fur seals who grew up together. They gave birth to a little fur seal on June 19, 2015. Because it looks very cute, we named it “Lu Hu”, which is the first successful breeding life since the opening of Qujiang Polar Ocean Park, and by 2022, 17 fur seal puppies have been successfully bred at the Fur Seal Iceberg.
