Pacific sea nettle, mainly distributed in the eastern Pacific Ocean, is a low-temperature species of jellyfish. Its umbrella is translucent golden yellow, and the tentacles on the edge of the umbrella are coffee-colored, also known as golden coffee jellyfish. The size of the exumbrella is up to 1 meter, but most of them are about 50 cm long. They have 24 tentacles and 4-5 meter long oral arms, so they can eat a lot of food. Its scientific name is “golden sword”, to warn of the pain of being stung by its tentacles. Being stung by the tentacles will be very painful, so the keepers should take protective measures when feeding, to avoid injury.
