Introduction to Penguins

Magellanic penguins are the largest of the temperate penguins,

Their Living Environment

Their Daily Life

Every morning, the keepers clean up fresh Grilled spring fish and herring,

put them in bait buckets,

and bring them to Penguin Bay for a feast

Before the keepers come,

there is always a cute guard at the door to greet them,

and one likes to play hide-and-seek in its small house

Sometimes they go into the water in groups and swim competitively

In order to have a healthy and comfortable living environment for the lovely penguins,

the keepers will visit the Penguin Bay every day

to do 2 times of cleaning, 3 times of disinfection,

Penguins are small compared to other animals,

so the disease is evident in weight changes

Weak penguins can lose a lot of weight,

so they need to weigh often

Molting is an annual ritual for penguins

Before molting, they will eat large amounts of food to build up energy

When molting, they will not eat because of the physiological changes,

the immunity of penguins will be reduced,

so they are easy to be attacked by pathogens

During this period, vets will strengthen environmental hygiene

and assist penguins who do not actively feed with small amounts of food to ensure their survival needs and maintain high immunity
