Malayan jellyfish (Sanderia malayensis Goette) is found in parts of the Indian Ocean and North Atlantic Ocean, it has a translucent umbrella with about eight oral arms protruding from the center of its umbrella and extending behind it. The small tentacles around the umbrella are very long, some as long as one meter. When swimming in the water, they are like dragging a large net. When they meet the food, they will quickly roll up and shrink, making the food hugged into the mouth. Malayan jellies eat plankton and other jellyfish. In captivity, they mainly feed on Brine shrimp, jellyfish feed and moon jellyfish. The jellyfish is a little more difficult to feed than the moon jellyfish. It needs a larger tank to raise to fully display the beauty of the jellyfish’s slender tentacles.
