Silver arowana (Osteoglossum bicirrhosum) is found in Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and other countries. It is one of original fish species and has the title of living fossil, which is of great value for archaeological and academic research. Its mouth is up, and this shape dictates that they eat food from above. Because of its long life, large scales, and shine in the light, it also means longevity, driving away evil and prosperity, so it is widely loved by ornamental fish lovers. However, Silver arowana is fierce and aggressive. It is a carnivore and likes to eat small fish, shrimp and insects. Its growth rate is very fast, and it can grow into an adult fish in 6 months.
